Be ready for you to have safety

Prevention is better than cure. In calamities like earthquake, harm and risks are unpredictable.

Drills like earthquake drills were done nationally. The recently concluded National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill was led by the NDRRMC. The beauty of earthquake drills is to intensify the local communities’ earthquake preparedness. But how can be earthquake drill productive if the players are not serious in doing the said activity.

In some situations, like in school, students were not serious. Students were laughing, playing their mobile phones and even make use of that time to cut their classes. Students might not know that in doing such activities like drills can save their life. Save their life in the sense of, if an earthquake comes they will know what to do, and lost and other casualties will be prevented.

“Our safety does not rest in the hands of one person or government agency alone. It rests in our very hands as we put them together on the concerted effort of building safer, adaptive and resilient communities.” Sec. Voltaire Gazmin once said. Keep safe everyone.

Dear President Duterte,

First of all, congratulations to all of your successful projects. Namely; in transportation, local business, healthcare, education and taxes. We cannot deny your power, and your capabilities. I am very amazed from what you’ve done in 6 months rehabilitation for the Island of Boracay. After the Boracay rehabilitation is you followed the cleaning for the Manila Bay. These projects really help in making the economic status of the country higher, because tourism is a big factor to help increase the economic status of our country. But what alarms me the most is you have no doubt in violating the human’s rights. Yes, drug issues are alarming also, because sometimes is the major cause of all crimes. But unlawful killing is not the only way to have zero cases in drugs. Extra judicial killing are seen by the humanity to be unethical, because your administration bypasses the due process of the legal jurisdiction.

Still I am wishing you and the whole administration to have a fruitful and blessed term in leading our precious country, the Philippines. Thank you and God speed.

Raise your Flag

The 333 years of difficulties of the Filipinos in the hands of the Spaniards. But June 12, 1898 came, a very remarkable date for all of us Filipinos. That date is really a heaven-sent day because it is where the Philippines gains its independence. It is a significant date which led us to celebrate it yearly. In order to commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of our dear heroes.

 Our heroes offered and sacrificed their lives in order for us to be free. Free from suffering of any difficulties. But on our generation, heroes today are not only the ones who is holding any weapon. But what we are considering our heroes are the ones who holds our future. Our dear teachers, farmers or any workers are the heroes of today’s generation. Just like our typical definition of hero, heroes are the ones who fight for our nation, for the future generation. Just like our workers, they are holding pen, manipulating machine and manually planting seeds for our whole nation.

So in celebrating our independence day, of course we humbly respect and back view all the bravery of our heroes like Rizal. But in celebrating our independence is also the time to give thanks to the ones who hold our future. Just like me, as a student I definitely cannot live and probably think for my future without our teachers, farmers and all the workers who are working hard for our nation. Together we raise our flag as a symbol for the bravery of our heroes who fought for our freedom, and for the sacrifices of our dear workers who holds our future and for the betterment of our nation. We Filipinos we’re all in this together, reach high and raise your flag.
