Patience: A Short Reflection

On this quarter, I've learned that in order to accomplish the things you're tasked to do is you need to be patient. Because there are instances that your workstation is not cooperating, in the sense that it will restart suddenly and worst it will suddenly turn off. Another reason is your work will not be saved and when you open your work the other day, you'll just get shock and sometimes angry because your work was ruined. 

The challenges that I encountered were somewhat helped me develop my trust in myself. Because everytime that I'm in doubt, especially when it comes to doing our activities, I always follow my opinion or on what I believe and know. 

Moving on, I will do my works better and of course follow my goals in life. Happy Holidays!

What is Christmas Without Your Family

Christmas is the season for sharing, thanksgiving, and looking back with the memories we made through out the year together with our friends and most especially with our family.

When Christmas is nearly approaching, a big smile in every person's faces can be seen. As the song goes, "It is the most wonderful time of the year". All of us have ways on how we gain happiness during Christmas, some are gifts in kind or in cash. Others conduct different fund raising for the poor. And of course hosting a Christmas party for family and friends. Each of us have different ideas and thoughts about Christmas, but the most important thing is that Christmas makes everyone happy. 

To sum it up, Christmas is a time of family. With family, Christmas will be a pale shadow itself, because they remid us the importance of family and friends in life. A person may be rich or influential, but without a close loving family and good friends, he will feel lonely. No riches in the world can substitute the happiness a family and friends can give. Thus, Christmas won't be complete without the presence of your family and friends.

Awareness: Key to End Violence

Violence on women and even children, an alarming problem being faced by the world right now. Some countries are still dominated by male, or simply called, male dominated countries. In which women has no privilege in many aspects in life. Some women are living in handcuffs, imprisoned inside the house and being neglected by the society, and worst they are even tortured sometimes its for no reason.   

With this inequality between men and women, GAD (Gender Awareness and Development) was born, not to end the violence but to make these two groups realize that there are differences between them, in which could make the whole society as one, a society with unity. GAD is defined as an approach focuses on the socially constructed basis of differences between men and women that emphasizes the need to challenge the existing gender roles and relations. 

Your awareness and knowledge gives you the will to understand that in a society there are no partitions between men and women. Either you're a man or a woman, in the eyes of God we're all human. Human that is living with our own principles in life. GAD is not anti-male and not war between sexes rather it is a recognition of the potentials of both men and women as essential partners in development.
