Entering
school is sometimes a fear of a person. In fact, when I was young I was
horrified to enter school. Even though my family was a Co-founder of a private
school. Fear in entering school is also a fear of failure.
Region 1 or the so called “Ilocos”
is truly a home of a competent and well-molded brains, for it even made a
movement that seeks to promote a better and enjoyable place to study, the Happy
Schools Movement. This aims to inculcate in every student’s minds that school
is not just a place for learning but also a place for fun and enjoyment.
With this program, base from my
experience, it requires a certain school to pass an output in every learning
area. In which teachers ask students to do something connected with that
subject, in which the teacher is inclined. Thus, the students really exert
effort and even spend money just to have an appealing project, for it is also
graded. But the disappointing part is that, when the project was chose to be
exhibited, only chosen students are the ones that can join the exhibit, especially
the classroom officers. With this, is it really good to call this movement a
happy one? In my own opinion, this is not a happy movement, because this is
just a waste of time for it even interrupts classes.
From the aims formulated of this
movement, I think it is really a different from what has done. I don’t even
find it fun and enjoyable.
