Philippines are one of the countries
that are prone to disasters, because it is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire
and it is along the Pacific Ocean. Thus, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes are
unpredictable in occurring at different parts of the country, and as it located
along the Pacific Ocean, the country is prone to typhoons. In this case, how
can people survive if these disasters are unpredictable.
Government has implemented the
National Disaster Resilience Month, with the theme, “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa Tunay na Pagbabago.” In which different programs are done to intensify the preparedness of communities in
different disasters. Being prepared is really beneficial. Thus, being prepared reduces uncertainty,
reduce fear, anxiety, loss of life, and greatly reduce danger.
Disasters are just like an obstacle
course that you are asked to finish. Every obstacle course, players are
preparing and conditioning themselves in order for them to finish the track
quickly. As well as in disasters, people are preparing themselves to be ready
in any situations they’re might go through.
