Second, it represents us as a people and as a country. Third and the last, it commemorates the efforts of the person behind every success of our own, Filipino language, President Manuel Luis Quezon who is said to be the “Ama ng Wikang Pambansa”.

With this year’s theme, “Wikang Katutubo: Tungo sa Isang Bansang Filipino” aims to raise awareness about indigenous languages’ role in promoting our country’s identity. Filipino and a national language, recognizes that the bridge in which this language fills up is an avenue to enrich the Filipino language as more inclusive by preserving elements from native Philippine languages.

Gaining Confidence

Image result for expressing thoughts through writing aesthetic pinterestImage result for expressing thoughts through writing aesthetic pinterest
The learning that I have gained with the previous quarter is to be confident enough in reporting topics. And the the discovery that I've experienced is the making of blogs. The main problem that I've encountered is the fear of publishing my drafts, in which I am not that good in writing insights and also with my bad grammar. The only thing that I did just to cope up this challenge or problem is to gain enough confidence to do things and to explore things I've never done before. Well, I am looking forward for the next grading to have more confidence in expressing my thought through sharing it with my fellow student or peers.

Preparedness is the Key

Image result for preparedness symbolCooperation, interaction, and action are needed to have a solution. Society’s problems are rampant, one of it is the unpredictable disasters.
Philippines are one of the countries that are prone to disasters, because it is located at the Pacific Ring of Fire and it is along the Pacific Ocean. Thus, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes are unpredictable in occurring at different parts of the country, and as it located along the Pacific Ocean, the country is prone to typhoons. In this case, how can people survive if these disasters are unpredictable.

Government has implemented the National Disaster Resilience Month, with the theme, “Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro para sa Tunay na Pagbabago.” In which different programs are done to  intensify the preparedness of communities in different disasters. Being prepared is really beneficial.  Thus, being prepared reduces uncertainty, reduce fear, anxiety, loss of life, and greatly reduce danger.

Disasters are just like an obstacle course that you are asked to finish. Every obstacle course, players are preparing and conditioning themselves in order for them to finish the track quickly. As well as in disasters, people are preparing themselves to be ready in any situations they’re might go through.
